Patsy Decline existed for a short time in 1992. For Wil Robinson, it was the one of the first bands that gave him the chance to really let loose on the guitar (Strat). The feeling you get when you go from a Gibson to Stratocaster or the reverse. WR just finished up playing banjo with Curious George and LMC was in blimbo. In this project, WR really only wrote 1 song "no change" and the shouting lyrics on "brazil boys". Everything else was written by Dave and Eric, which basically designed the sound of Patsy Decline. Of course, it didn't hurt having a great solid hitting drummer! Patsy Decline to WR, was a fat alternative rock soundin' garage band. Patsy Decline originated from a garage somewhere down in UD / Brown street area. They played a few gigs almost a couple of weeks after WR joined. Basically, hit the ground blazing.........That's how together they were when WR came into the picture. They just needed some floating guitar and lead line textures to bring the music all together. Perks and parasite were recorded on 4-track in a practice garage with the assistance of Ritch Kerns of LMC. The other songs were recorded Dave and Eric and others turned WR onto The Flaming Lips, Butthole Surfers, Screaming Trees, and boatload of other bands, that would basically change, the way, WR viewed music for the rest of his music days...........
